I have broken my nose three times!

Melissa is a rising second year Master of Public Policy graduate student at Oregon State University. She will graduate with a concentration in Environmental Policy in 2022. Melissa graduated from Boise State University in 2020 with a degree in Environmental Studies and a double minor in Biology and Sustainability. She also played 5 years of Division 1 college soccer at Boise State University and finished her last year as a graduate transfer at Oregon State University. During college, Melissa advocated for salmon conservation during her time at the Sierra Club and worked for climate change resiliency at Warm Springs Consulting LLC. Outside of school, Melissa loves being outdoors and staying active. Some of her favorite hobbies include skiing, surfing, hiking, photography, and hanging out with family, friends, and her dog, Emmett, an Alaskan Malamute. Melissa claims that her love for the environment and water resource conservation came from growing up in Spokane, Washington and North Idaho. Melissa hopes to learn more about sustainable freshwater resources during her time at Washington Water Trust.
