2016 Dry Year Leasing Around the Dungeness River

WWT announces late-season leasing program in the Sequim area
As of June 2016, snowpack in the upper Dungeness Basin is at zero due to extremely warm spring weather which has melted the lower elevation snowpack that accumulated over the winter.  Predicted summer stream flows are once again expected to be very low and a limiting factor for returning Chinook Salmon.  To augment flows, WWT is once again conducting a lat season leasing program, available to irrigators in the impacted region.

Those interested in learning more are invited to read the program description, and to contact Amanda Cronin or Jason Hatch.
