Washington Water Trust is actively seeking to work with water right holders who are interested in leasing or selling all or portions of their water rights on Mill Creek, Touchet River and Walla Walla mainstem to help increase flows.
As many of you know, flows drop considerably across the Walla Walla Basin, especially during times when fish need them most. WWT has worked closely with local irrigators and other partners over the past decade to help restore flows in the basin and it's our hope to create more of these win-win solutions in the coming year.
WWT currently has funding to purchase and lease water rights for 1-year, 5-year and 10-year terms. Additionally, we have expertise and resources available to help improve irrigation and water management operations. We are available and interested in working with all water rights holders, from individuals to irrigation districts and municipalities.
If you or others you may know, are interested in leasing water rights, receiving an offer and/or exploring other opportunities available to you, please don't hesitate to contact WWT Project Manager, Kristina Ribellia at (509) 607-3513 or at firstname.lastname@example.org or will out a participant interest form here.
As always, WWT is available to work with you on a confidential basis.
Funding is available but limited, please express your interest by October 1, 2017.
